Hannah’s Note is pretty quiet at the moment as once again I’m blooming moving house. I hate moving house, there isn’t one thing I like about the process. The admin is boring, the packing is tiresome and the whole process is unnecessarily expensive! A year ago I loved our little cottage, it was the postcard perfect cottage. But after living in it for a year of banging heads, bleeding radiators, rebooting heaters and stiff spitting taps I can safely say I look forward to not being there anymore.

So we are upping sticks and moving half an hour down the road into an archetypal little English town – Godalming. Sun-dappled, weatherboarded cottages on wooded slopes? Yep. Nice lanes where the trees arch over? Yep. Cricket on the green? Yep. Warm beer in ivy-clad pubs? Indeed. You get the picture. I guess there is always a silver lining…
