[Black Ribbon]

The other day I popped into my local LK Bennett store and instantly fell in love with the new capsule Black Ribbon collection. Pearlised leather trousers? Yes please!

Into it’s third season Black Ribbon brings a mixture of ultra-chic sophistication with luxury sportswear influences, think The Kooples meets Cos. The capsule collection cuts supreme tailoring, crisp feminine lines with luxury fabrics. A mostly monochrome colour palette, Black Ribbon fits into an all-year-round wardrobe with an accentuating splash of strawberry. The new collection gives off a whole attitude that is not normally associated with the high-street giant LK Bennett, it’s a more aggressive Whistles like it was made for the likes of Carine Roitfeld and Emmanuelle Alt.

The campaign, shot by Mariano Vivanco in London, features LK’s new face, the stunning Brit actress Rosamund Pike.

LK Bennett is renowned for its ability to produce designer looks at affordable prices. The brand has experienced an upturn in sales in recent years, thanks in part to The Duchess of Cambridge who has worn the brand on several occasions. Those nude pumps….yup, LK Bennett. The spring/summer ready-to-wear collection features practical but refined separates, synonymous with the brand’s affordable luxury appeal.

I will be heading to the Guildford store to join in the ‘Black Ribbon’ party on the 6th of March. A promise of personal styling and custom cupcakes is a winner in my books. I can’t wait for a proper try on of the capsule collection. And even more excitedly, I hope to see the new collection in collaborating with the super-stylish Caroline Issa.
