[Wedding Bells]

You might have noticed I’ve been a little quiet on the blog-front recently. This is due to one of my best friends weddings. My stone cold silence was due to a hen-do, wedding, then my ‘sister-from-another-mister’ coming over to stay from Ireland.

So here are THE wedding snaps. My beautiful friend married her childhood sweetheart with Richmond Park as the backdrop.

I’ve got to say the wedding was perfect, right down to his McQueen bow tie and her Dior ring. It’s was a great mix of luxury (Dior ring, Laudree tower, Richmond Park) and DIY-chic (button holes, bridesmaid bouquets). In fact, I should state now that all the wedding flowers, excluding the incredible Brides Bouquet, came to the grand total of £11!!! Yup, £11. It just shows that with a bit of imagination and an eye for detail, wedding flowers do not need to cost £100s of pounds. All the flowers we did the night before, including the fiddly buttonholes and bridesmaids bouquets. Even the table decorations were done the night before and left out in the cold for placement in the morning. It was a very well-timed and organised. The very talented bride pre-made the paper pom-poms and with the help of the dads, we got them up and in place very easily.

All the illustrations (save the dates, place settings, table plan) were done by our friend Becca. Pretty amazing, she managed to produce exactly what the Bride was after, down to handwriting style and colours. Perfect.

Our table had an extra guest, Derek the gold fish 🙂

Each table had a milk bottle full of moustaches and lips on sticks, just for fun really. It was a great ice breaker and of course made the photos much more amusing.
