Oh dear god it’s started. Today while pottering around my local city, I was bombarded by crazy shopoholics, coming at me from all sides, mostly with prams. I think sales bring out the worst in people, they become erratic, rude and rushed. They dash from shop to shop snatching anything they can, whether they would have originally wanted to item or not. It’s a sale, and therefore YOU NEED EVERYTHING. I mean really….queing outside NEXT at 4 in the morning, what could there possibly be that you need that much?! I don’t shop in NEXT usually, so I’m not sure what bargains they would have in store at this time of year, but to be honest, unless they gave me £100 for getting up that early, I probably wouldn’t bother.
I’ve got to say I’m the worlds worst sale-shopper. I don’t like shopping in a messy enviroment, so I always end up buying from the full-price section anyway. I’m looking forward sales this year though, as the boyfriend is doing it all for me. We’ve saved up for a nice new tele for our flat and the sales have come at the perfect time. I don’t imagine there are that many crazy mums in the tv department of John Lewis, so we should be quite safe there.
Don’t get me wrong though, I do love a good deal. I’m a bit more of an online kinda girl though, I know I’ll be spending my evenings surfing the web, going to all my usual haunts to see if there are any good deals that can be delivered to my door.
Anyway, my advice to you would be, do it online, save yourself the bruises from crazy shoppers.
