Some might already know that December is the party season. You have the office soiree, Christmas Eve and of course New Years Eve to think about, and with the party of course comes the outfits!
It’s all about glitz, glamour and dodgy jumpers this season, not wanting to wear the same outfit twice.
The work Christmas party is quite an affair. The dress code, frankly, is ‘sparkles’. So I’ll be giving my new Motel sequin dress a second outing. As it’s in my local city, I don’t want to go too glam, as to be quite honest I will feel totally over dressed. So I’m going to be wearing this dress with tights, biker boots and a leather jacket, with a flick of eyeliner and messy hair.
For Christmas Eve I will be donning my old favourite ugly Christmas jumper. It’s a vintage green knit, with snow flakes, red ribbon and candy canes printed all over it. I’m pretty much planning on living in it from now till Christmas day. It’s the kind of jumper that makes people smile.
Then of course onto New Years Eve. I try to play down this party, as it’s always full of knob heads who never ever go out, apart from this one day when they cause havoc in the local streets. Some friends and I normally just drink some cider/wine/champagne and hang out. Of course the outfit needs to reflect the occasion, so I this year I will be opting for a pair of Party Pants. Some of you may not know this phrase yet, but trust me you will. Party Pants are the kind of trousers that make a statement. The kind you just HAVE to party in. Whether they are metallic, sequined or just a bit…kooky, party pants are a must have investment for this season.
