I’ve wanted to blog about Charlotte Taylor for a while now, ever since watching the video (above) online a few months ago. But since I’ve been internet-less and under a pile of boxes in my flat I haven’t had time to blog until now.
“It’s the simple things in life that count”
It’s refreshing to see a designer being so individual. You want animal print? How about a lobster all over a shirt, a cat all over a scarf or a penguin on a jumper? Think Victoria Beckham, but way before Victoria Beckham had thought of it. It’s effortless. Endearing.
After graduation from Central Saint Martins (of course) Charlotte was snapped up by one of my all time favourite labels, Luella, subsequently leaving in June 2009 to set up her new venture under her own name.
Charlotte’s vision subtly emphasises the female form, juxtaposing androgynous tones with effortless elegance.
