[Saving the World, One Zig-Zag at a time]

I love a good bit of ‘fashion with a conscience’ so I was thrilled to receive a press release about the new AW M Missoni capsule collection, for OrphanAid Africa, a non-profit organisation whose mission it is to help orphans and vulnerable children in Ghana, West Africa. Margherita Missoni has designed this collection that reflects Ghana’s heritage while still using the signature Missoni zig-zag pattern.

“The choice of colours was instinctive; it was the combination that I liked the most. Pink is symbolic, it refers to childhood, and red to Africa, and together they were aesthetically pleasing, The pattern in itself is something that is ours, that belongs to us.”

Benefiting an amazing cause, as well as being Marghertia’s first solo project, this exciting range comprises of a 12-piece capsule collection which launches in the Westfield Missoni on November 28th and online through yoox.com. With prices ranging from £50 to £180, this is great chance to get yourself a piece of Missoni, while shopping for a great cause.
