[Emma Block]

I’m so glad I’ve discovered the über talented illustrator Emma Block. As soon as I saw her featured on Deer Brains I knew I needed more.

Inspired by the people she meets in her everyday life, old photos, vintage clothes, travel, 1950s illustration and 1930s jazz – Emma is quite the cultural butterfly. Although she only graduated from Middlesex University, already she’s become a hit, working with Time Out, Woodmansterne, American Greetings, Hardie Grant, and Moo.

Her blog is pretty cool too, you can actually see her thought process really clearly.

I think we could be friends, she “likes charity shops, tea and very sharp pencils” and I like her.
