O-M-G now this is a little blog worthy. Yesterday it was announced that H&M’s next designer collaboration would be with the one and only Versace. Now designer collaborations isn’t new for H&M, Donatella is following the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson, Sonia Rykiel and, most recently, French fashion house Lanvin, in designing her high street range.
Fashion legend Donatella Versace will create an Autumn/Winter womenswear collection with all the hallmarks of her mainline range, and some old classics – think cool party dresses, high heels and jewellery with lashings of leather, bold prints and vibrant colours. Due to hit the stores nationwide from the 17th of November 2011 – get in line ladies.
‘I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience,’ Donatella said in a statement. ‘The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere.’
Margareta van den Bosch, Creative Advisor at H&M, added: ‘Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times, and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant – everything Versace stands for. This is such a celebratory collaboration and is perfect for the party season.’
And it doesn’t stop there, H&M also confirmed that they will be creating a pre-spring line with Versace too, due in around January time.
This might be the first collaboration piece that I get hyped about – Hannah wants a pretty party dress.
